The National
Compadres Network

NCN is a national effort whose focus is the reinforcement of the positive involvement of Latino males in the lives of their families, communities, and society.

Based on the principles of “Un Hombre Noble” (A Noble Man), the mission of the National Compadres Network is to strengthen, rebalance, and/or redevelop the traditional “Compadre” ext ended family system. It’s by this process that we encourage and support the positive involvement of Latino males as fathers, sons, grandfathers, brothers, compadres, partners, and mentors in their families and community.

At the same time, the National Compadre Network believes by increasing the positive support and influence of Latino males in their family and society it can also have an impact on reducing the incidence of substance abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, teen pregnancy, gang violence, and other family and community problems.

By way of this ongoing effort, it is our hope that children and families will have a safer, healthier, happier world in which to live and grow.

Bienvenidos, Inc.

Founded in 1986, Bienvenidos improves the lives of over 16,000 children and their families annually by delivering services that are comprehensive and tailored to their unique needs and cultural values. These families are living in poverty, with little opportunity, struggling with severe and multiple needs and high-risk challenges. Our programs focus on promoting long-term change, resulting in safe and successful families, thriving children and strong communities.

The unique strength of Bienvenidos is our ability to provide children and their families with access to services that address multiple needs. Those we serve benefit from a combination of integrated services and resources through cross-program collaboration. By using this collaborative approach, we provide a safety net for children and their families who are overwhelmed by psychosocial and environmental factors such as physical or emotional abuse, neglect, substance abuse, poverty, HIV/AIDS, underemployment, illiteracy, domestic violence and lack of adequate healthcare
